New strategy of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan for 2017-2020


Since January 2017, the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan has been implementing the strategy for 2017-2020. The four-year strategy covers the traditional focus areas such as human rights, public health, education, access to information, transparency in the mining and energy sector, and youth participation in social change.

In addition, SFK continues administering the Bishkek Resource Centre.


SFK will remain faithful to our mission and will continue promoting an open society in Kyrgyzstan. In 2013, SFK worked on the nine key programs targeting legal and educational reform, better budget transparency, public health, developed information sphere, public administration, the media and youth; besides, SFK implemented the East East Beyond Borders international cooperation program.
